We were the first business in Latin America to accept Bitcoin payments. We saw Bitcoin as a back-to-basics concept. It's meant to be simple, it's the way things were meant to be paid for. Now I've become the point person for businesses all over São Paulo who are interested in Bitcoin.

I'm using Bitcoin as a currency option for my business because it is by far the easiest way to conduct international payments, something I often deal with in my job as film director and cinematographer, traveling around the world on shoots. Instead of taking a week to send or receive money, and losing 3-5% in bank fees etc, I can make transactions almost instantly without any middle man taking a cut.

Our website programmer from France suggested that we accept bitcoin payments. At the time and even now Bitcoins are still not very well known in Mexico. I thought it was a very interesting concept so after he explained bitcoin to us in more detail we decided to accept them.

The Bitcoin Wife

Blogs about Bitcoin businesses @ The Bitcoin Wife, Hawaii thebitcoinwife.com

Living remotely in Hawaii, I do the majority of my shopping online for the things my family needs, and paying with Bitcoin is a superior option because it is so fast and easy. Investing in and mining Bitcoin supports our family and allows my husband and I to spend quality time with our kids, and focus on our passions. Bitcoin is a truly a participatory economy and word of mouth is everything, which is why I like to highlight the positive experiences I have with Bitcoin businesses on my blog.

print4bitcoin
Rob Mitchell, Entrepreneur

Graphic Design and Printing, Los Angeles, USA print4bitcoin.com

I'm a relative newcomer to Bitcoin, but I find the breakthrough payment technology to be compelling, and perhaps the most disruptive technology since the internet. My primary business is design and printing, so I launched Print4Bitcoin.com to let the world know my business accepts Bitcoin. I've only received payment in Bitcoin from a few customers so far, but I sense a lot of opportunity coming as Bitcoin flourishes.
